TMATS helped us when one of our clients needed a form of Trackway to protect the ground at a school from the wheels of a MEWP. Pete’s communication was great throughout and the installation was completed very tidily. All in all, everyone involved was very happy.

Over 20 Years of Excellence in the Ground Protection Industry

UK TMATS stands as a highly versatile and efficient solution for surface protection and temporary access across various settings. Expertly designed to safeguard delicate surfaces like block paving, tarmac, and marble floors, it effectively prevents damage from personnel and equipment. Beyond protection, UK TMATS serves as a stable work platform, ideal for temporary road construction, events, pavements, logistics, and parking applications.

Embodying sustainability, UK TMATS is an eco-conscious choice for surface protection and temporary access needs. Crafted from 100% recycled PVC, it not only boasts a robust and flexible composition but also ensures full recyclability, aligning with environmental responsibility. The inherent durability of PVC, coupled with its flexibility, makes UK TMATS suitable for uneven terrains, effectively blocking water and mud in challenging site conditions.

Opting for UK TMATS translates to significant reductions in ground damage, offering a stable and secure surface for both vehicular and pedestrian use. This innovative solution not only enhances operational efficiency but also circumvents the expense and effort of ground reinstatement post-project completion. UK TMATS is, therefore, not just a product but a comprehensive approach to modern, eco-friendly, and effective ground management.

Frequently Asked Questions

On an articulated lorry, we can transport up to 640 mats, which collectively provide an extensive coverage area of 1850 square meters.

We can accommodate up to 980 Pro-T mats on an articulated lorry, offering a substantial coverage area of 785 square meters.

The TMAT is designed to support a weight load of up to 80 tonnes, while the Pro-T mat can bear up to 10 tonnes. However, it's important to note that the actual load-bearing capacity can vary depending on the ground conditions where the mats are deployed. We recommend taking advantage of our complimentary site survey, which allows us to assess your specific needs and suggest the most suitable product for your project.

The primary distinction lies in their intended applications and physical characteristics. An aluminium trackway is better suited for heavy-duty roadways and compound areas. However, it comes with certain drawbacks, such as sharp edges and a thickness of 2.5 inches, which makes it sit higher off the ground and pose a higher risk of theft due to its value. In contrast, our plastic mats are designed for both pedestrian and vehicle use, offering a great level of rigidity but without sharp edges. Our mats range from 14.5mm to 22mm in thickness and feature all plastic/rubber edges, significantly reducing the risk of theft due to their lower intrinsic value.

The installation process for our mats is tailored to the specific requirements of each job. We can deliver the mats using a range of vehicles, varying in size to suit the project's needs. On-site, we typically use a small forklift or telehandler to manoeuvre the palletised mats. The actual installation of both our product types is carried out manually. This approach allows us to efficiently place the mats in areas where larger, bulkier products might not be able to reach, ensuring a versatile and adaptable installation process.

Our products are versatile and cater to a wide range of sectors. This includes Railway, Geotechnical, Construction, Events, and Renewable Energy, among others. We are committed to meeting the needs of any sector that requires our ground protection solutions and are always ready to deliver our products wherever required.
